Happy Easter

I make no guarantees, but at the urging of several people, this blog may be making a comeback. Even more shocking, it comes new and improved with pictures of children!

I never said the pictures were good. Have you ever seen a baby with such a "meh" expression? I guess he was disappointed that his sister got all the Easter candy. By the way, that's Rafe. Welcome to the blogging world, little man!

Yay! Happy Easter! Your daughter is adorable and I love Rafe. How do you pronounce it? What is the story behind his name?

Love ya!

Thanks, everyone.

Rachel, you pronounce it the same as Ralph Vaughan Williams. So...phonetically - Rafe. We like the name of the composer, but we don't want him being called Ralph with the American pronunciation...we should clearly have just moved to the U.K. So that's the story behind the name. I honestly agonized over his name because I always told myself I wouldn't curse a child with an unusual name, but...he kinda just became Rafe before we even knew we were having a boy. It was inevitable. Hope he doesn't hate us later. He can always go by his middle name, Gary, or by his initials (R.G.). He has options. Or he can disown us and write emo songs about how his parents ruined his life.

So excited to see some pictures and to have your blog back. Of course, you already know that I think your children are adorable.
